Stated generally, beginning with the works of Edmund Husserl (1859-1938), phenomenology is an eclectic philosophical approach that tries to examine common and even necessary structures of human experience.
Born in 1883, Karl Jaspers was, during his lifetime, a leading psychiatrist, existentialist philosopher, and political commentator. Though still insightful, his works are largely ignored by English-speaking readers today.
A recently developed field, business ethics applies the insights of philosophical ethics to concrete circumstances in the corporate world.
